West Bladen took down South Columbus on Wednesday, a win that might not have happened without Allison Hickman's standout performance. Hickman was dialed in as she struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. She played a big game the last time she faced South Columbus last Wednesday, so the team probably should've seen her coming. Hickman has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Hickman and West Bladen will take on East Bladen at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. West Bladen is 7-2 against East Bladen going back to May of 2018, a lead they'll look to extend.
