Baseball Recap: Marianna Takes a Loss

Marianna had taken Liberty County down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. Marianna took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Liberty County. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, Marianna couldn't push the score so high this time.

Marianna saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Torin Clark-Hussey, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Marianna's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Liberty County, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marianna will challenge Blountstown at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. Marianna is facing Blountstown at the right time seeing as Blountstown is stuck on a six-game losing streak. Liberty County will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Franklin County at 6:00 p.m. on March 25th.
