Basketball Recap: Preuss UCSD Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

While Preuss UCSD didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-21), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the San Ysidro Cougars by a score of 65-53 on Thursday. For the Tritons, this counts as revenge for the 101-45 victory the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2018.

Despite the loss, San Ysidro still got an impressive performance from Gianni Costa, who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Miranda, who earned nine points.

Preuss UCSD has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.9 points per game. As for San Ysidro, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Preuss UCSD wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 61-56 defeat against Crawford on the 27th. San Ysidro has also already played their next game, a 52-43 win against Rock Academy on the 27th.
