Basketball Recap: Aamori Patterson Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Foard

Foard kept up with Hibriten until halftime on Tuesday, but afterwards: not so much. The Panthers put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 47-25 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hibriten to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aamori Patterson, who posted 16 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Patterson has scored at least a third of the Panthers' points. McKenzie Collins was another key player, putting up eight points along with eight boards and four steals.

Hibriten smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jessica Bailey, who scored seven points in addition to ten rebounds and four steals. Bailey is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last seven games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Preslee Dula, who put up seven points and three steals.

The win made it two in a row for Hibriten and bumps their season record up to 3-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 44 points in those games. As for Foard, they dropped their record down to 1-2 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Hibriten didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 46-25 win against South Caldwell on the 4th. As for Foard, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 51-38 victory against Draughn on the 5th.
