Recap: Madison Jaguars vs. Beekman
There's no place like home for the Madison Jaguars, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Beekman on Friday and snuck past 47-45. Given Madison's advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while Beekman is ranked 232nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Madison found their leader in underclassman B Vaughn, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Marquis Thomas, who scored eight points.
Madison pushed their record up to 18-8 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Beekman, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-7.
Madison will head out on the road to face off against Oak Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Madison is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 58.2 points per game this season. As for Beekman, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ferriday at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
