Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Drew Snively and Maguire Mitchell Lead Zionsville to Victory

Zionsville was handed a 24-point defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They skirted past the Bloomington North Cougars 55-53. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Leading Zionsville to victory were Maguire Mitchell and Drew Snively. Mitchell went 7 for 14 on his way to 19 points, while Snively went 9 of 14 en route to 21 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That's the most steals Snively has posted since back in December of 2023. Jackson Tielker was another key player, putting up four points and nine assists.

Bloomington North lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Caleb Fishel, who scored 11 points and seven assists. Tevin Grimes also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Zionsville now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Bloomington North, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.
