Baseball Recap: High Tech CV Wins Going Away Against High Tech Mesa

With a playoff win on the line, High Tech CV rose to the challenge on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the High Tech Mesa Thunder as they made off with a 12-4 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bruins.

Dyllin Ledezma made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Ledezma was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. He has become a key player for High Tech CV: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three hits, but 6-12 otherwise.

In other batting news, High Tech CV let Daniel Cardoso and Andre Skiles run wild. Cardoso went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double, while Skiles went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Cardoso is becoming a predictor of High Tech CV's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 8-1 (and 1-11 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Adrian Estrada, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

High Tech CV's victory bumped their record up to 9-12. As for High Tech Mesa, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.
