Ganado had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Flatonia Bulldogs with a sharp 11-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 back in March.

Ganado got a great performance from Saylor Bures as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Bures has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Raelynn Pena was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Kalyn Benavides, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and one double.

Ganado always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Flatonia only posted an OBP of .211.

Ganado's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-5-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Flatonia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-9-1.

Coming up, Ganado will be playing at home against Tidehaven at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Flatonia, they will face off against Skidmore-Tynan at 7:00 p.m. on the 25th. The Bobcats' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
