Basketball Recap: Make It Eight in a Row for Crestview

Crestview extended their winning streak to eight on Thursday, bumping them up to 17-1. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Liberty Leopards 74-19. The Rebels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 matchups by 33 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Addison Rhodes, who posted 39 points in addition to seven boards and six steals. Her big performance that evening made it 38 games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Bucey, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds.

Crestview was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Liberty only posted six.

As for Liberty, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 705th, while Crestview is ranked 87th).

Liberty's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Andrea Reed, who scored five points and five boards, and Danelle Coleman, who earned seven points. Reed is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Crestview wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 70-33 victory against Salem on the 4th. As for Liberty, they have also already played their next game, a 63-21 loss against LaBrae on the 31st.
