Volleyball Recap: Sussex Academy Comes Up Short

Sussex Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Tatnall Hornets. If the Seahawks were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Hornets when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Sussex Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Tatnall, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7-1.

Sussex Academy has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Delmarva Christian on the 2nd. As for Tatnall, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Cape Henlopen on the 2nd.
