Nebraska high school football: Week 7 schedule, scores

In a battle of 6-0 teams, top-ranked Omaha Westside could get first test of the season at No. 7 Kearney.

This week's Nebraska high school football schedule is headlined by No. 1 Omaha Westside at No. 7 Kearney in a battle that will put the winner in the driver's seat for the A-3 district title Friday.

Omaha Westside is yet to be tested this fall, winning all six games by 33 points or more. The Warriors – winners of 13 in a row dating back to last season – have shut out three opponents while averaging 50 points per game.

Kearney has had a couple of close calls this fall while running its record to 6-0. The Bearcats have scored 35 points or more four times and have held three opponents to single digits.

In other games pitting top 25 teams head-to-head, No. 22 Grand Island travels to No. 10 Elkhorn South (Omaha) while No. 14 Aurora hits the road for a clash with undefeated and No. 20 Adams Central (Hastings).

In other action, Scotus (Columbus) will take its 4-2 record into enemy territory when the Shamrocks battle undefeated and No. 4 Wahoo and No. 15 Battle Creek heads north to tackle 4-2 Cedar Catholic (Hartington).
