Softball Recap: Kokomo Has No Trouble Against Maconaquah

Kokomo barely beat Maconaquah the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildkats blew past the Braves 8-2 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Wildkats in their matchups with the Braves: they've now won eight in a row.

Emma Lees was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off eight hits. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, Kinley Martin was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Kokomo now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Maconaquah, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Coming up, Kokomo will square off against Ben Davis at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Maconaquah, they will challenge Oak Hill at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
