Football Recap: Grant Starts Season with Victory at Home

Grant took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They put the hurt on the Montgomery Tigers with a sharp 76-50 win. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won five in a row.

Montgomery's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jeremiah Christian, who rushed for 73 yards and three TDs, and also caught one score. Another signal caller making a difference was Mason Jordan, who threw for 226 yards and three touchdowns.

Coming up, Grant will challenge Buckeye at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Montgomery, they will face off against Pickering at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
