Basketball Recap: Algonac Gets the Win

The third road game was the charm for Algonac, as they earned their first road win of the season. They escaped with a win on Saturday against the Memphis Yellowjackets by the margin of a single free throw, 40-39. This was payback for the Muskrats, who suffered a 33-13 loss the last time these two teams met.

Algonac now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Memphis, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Algonac will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Yale at 6:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025. Memphis will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Ubly at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
