Marvin Ridge had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the West Forsyth Titans. That's more bragging rights for the Mavericks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Marvin Ridge took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-11, 25-14.

Natalie Unkrich paced Marvin Ridge's offense, picking up 16 kills. Unkrich got some help from Jillian Young and her 33 assists. Jamie Carnes and Victoria Simons kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.
