Baseball Recap: Wilson Area Takes a Loss

Wilson Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 12-5 to the Lehighton Indians. One positive for the Warriors, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Braden Benevides was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ryan Bonham, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Wilson Area's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Lehighton, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Wilson Area is set to square off against their familiar foe Northern Lehigh at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lehighton will take on rival Pen Argyl at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
