Basketball Recap: Huntington North Takes a Loss

Huntington North lost against Cathedral back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Huntington North Vikings took a hard 45-31 fall against the Cathedral Fighting Irish. The Vikings were up 31-15 in the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Cathedral's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Caroline Wiggins, who posted ten points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Precious Anuka, who scored nine points.

Huntington North is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-9. As for Cathedral, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Huntington North didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 35-30 victory against DeKalb on the 31st. Cathedral has also already played their next game, a 42-39 loss against Carmel on the 28th.
