Softball Recap: Chamberlain Takes a Loss

Chamberlain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 24th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 18-3 to the Winner Warriors. If the Cubs were looking for revenge after losing 15-0 to the Warriors when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Claire Knecht was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That run marked the first that she has scored this season. Another player making a difference was Jovie Vandenbosch, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Chamberlain's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Winner, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chamberlain will venture away from home to square off against Mobridge-Pollock at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Winner, they will square off against Hanson at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
