Volleyball Recap: Harwood Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Harwood can now relate to. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Middlebury Tigers on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on October 8th.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-17, 19-25, 25-13.

Zofia Costanza paced Harwood's offense, picking up ten kills. Costanza got some help from Savannah Fulton and her 12 assists. Costanza was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Harwood's loss dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Middlebury, the win (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 16-1.

Harwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Middlebury, they will take on Enosburg Falls at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.
