Basketball Game Preview: Gladbrook-Reinbeck Rebels vs. BCLUW Comets

Gladbrook-Reinbeck is 9-1 against BCLUW since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Gladbrook-Reinbeck Rebels will head out to take on the BCLUW Comets. Gladbrook-Reinbeck is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

Last Tuesday, Gladbrook-Reinbeck didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Columbus, but they still walked away with a 49-45 victory. Given the Rebels' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while the Sailors are ranked 167th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, BCLUW posted their biggest win since January 23rd on Saturday. They breezed past Valley Lutheran to the tune of 70-31. The Comets haven't had any issues with the Crusaders recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Gladbrook-Reinbeck pushed their record up to 17-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points over those games. As for BCLUW, their record is now 3-22.

Everything came up roses for Gladbrook-Reinbeck against BCLUW when the teams last played back in January, as the team secured a 76-22 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Gladbrook-Reinbeck since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
