After a string of five wins, Elkhart's good fortune finally ran out  on Saturday. They took  a  2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Carroll Chargers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the  2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in September of 2024.
 Serenity Rodriguez paced Elkhart's offense, picking up four kills. Rodriguez got some help from  Ava Polack and her six assists. Finally,  Shaniyah Stout kept Elkhart's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.
 Carroll found their leader in sophomore  Cala Haffner, who  had 12  digs and two  assists.
Elkhart's defeat dropped their record down to 16-4. As for Carroll, the  victory keeps them at an undefeated 18-0.
 Elkhart has already played their next contest,  a  3-1  win against New Prairie on the 18th. As for Carroll, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  matchup,  a  3-0  victory against Bellmont on the 17th.
