Weed had already won 13 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.8 points) and they went ahead and made it 14 on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Trinity Wolves by a score of 59-46. The Cougars pushed the score to 51-29 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wolves cut but never quite recovered from.

Despite the loss, Trinity still got an impressive performance from Carver Dresselhaus, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and 16 rebounds. Dresselhaus has become a key player for Trinity: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least ten boards, but 11-12 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Wesley Dresselhaus, who posted eight points and nine rebounds.

Weed pushed their record up to 20-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.8 points over those games. As for Trinity, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 13-13 record this season.

Weed has already played their next contest, a 59-56 win against Mt. Shasta on the 14th. As for Trinity, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 48-44 victory against Etna on the 14th.
