Soccer Recap: East Hall Takes a Loss

After flying high against West Hall last Friday, East Hall came back down to earth. The East Hall Vikings lost 10-0 to the Habersham Central Raiders on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 264th, while the Raiders are ranked 38th).

East Hall has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5-1 record this season. The victory (which was Habersham Central's sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Hall will host Jefferson at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Habersham Central, they will welcome Clarke Central at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Habersham Central knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Clarke Central likes a good challenge.
