Soccer Game Preview: Hampton vs. Denbigh

The Hampton Crabbers will challenge the Denbigh Patriots at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hampton is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Hampton came up short against Woodside and fell 3-1. While losing is never fun, Hampton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 245th, while Woodside are ranked 116th).

Meanwhile, Denbigh had to endure a six-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Heritage by a score of 3-1 on Thursday.

Denbigh picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-9-1. As for Hampton, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

Hampton couldn't quite get it done against Denbigh when the teams last played back in March as they fell 3-1. Can the Crabbers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
