Softball Recap: Williams Bulldogs vs. Trinity Bulldogs

Williams extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 4-14 in the process. They lost 20-11 to Trinity. Even if Williams couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Samiyah Watkins stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 2-for-5 with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Allison, who got on base in five of her nine plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run.

Looking ahead, Williams will square off against Eastern Alamance at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Trinity, they will face off against Randleman at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season.
