Baseball Game Preview: Plymouth Whitemarsh Colonials vs. Abington Galloping Ghosts

For the second straight game, Plymouth Whitemarsh will face off against Abington. The Colonials will take on the Galloping Ghosts at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. The last four games Plymouth Whitemarsh has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Tuesday, it was close, but Plymouth Whitemarsh sidestepped Abington for a 4-3 victory. The win continues a trend for the Colonials in their matchups with the Galloping Ghosts: they've now won five in a row.

Plymouth Whitemarsh got a great performance from Jake Rauscher as he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits (and not a single walk). Rauscher also tossed no walks, which is notable because the Colonials are 4-2 when he allows at most two walks, but 4-5 otherwise.

Abington is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9-1. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 3.2 runs. As for Plymouth Whitemarsh, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
