Softball Recap: Thursday's Defeat Ends Brewer's Winning Streak

After flying high against Springtown on Tuesday, Brewer came back down to earth. The Bears fell 4-1 to the Argyle Eagles on Thursday. The Bears' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Cozette Tyson put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits. Tyson was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.

Brewer's loss dropped their record down to 18-12. As for Argyle, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-14 record this season.

While Brewer had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
