Basketball Recap: Menahga Comes Up Short

Menahga lost against Barnesville back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Menahga Braves had to suffer through a 81-22 loss at the hands of the Barnesville Trojans. The game marked the Braves' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Menahga's defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.4 points per game. As for Barnesville, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Menahga will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Warroad at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Barnesville and Breckenridge will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
