Soccer Game Preview: Mount Academy vs. Roosevelt

The Mount Academy Eagles will face off against the Roosevelt Presidents at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Mount Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Roosevelt will be coming in after a loss.

On Tuesday, Mount Academy earned a 3-1 win over Marlboro Central. Given Mount Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 55th, while Marlboro Central are ranked 288th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Roosevelt was not quite New Paltz's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Huguenots by a score of 1-0.

Roosevelt has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Mount Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2-1.
