Softball Game Preview: Canyon Lake vs. Davenport Wolves

Canyon Lake will face off against the Davenport Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Davenport took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Canyon Lake, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Canyon Lake was able to grind out a solid win over Navarro, taking the game 10-5.

Liza Schexnayder was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Cheyenne Fields, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Davenport's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Fredericksburg by a score of 9-8.

KINLEY Keller was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. KATIE Wash was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Canyon Lake's victory bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Davenport, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-7-1.
