Volleyball Recap: Madera South Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Madera South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the McLane Highlanders, falling 3-0. The Stallions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Highlanders earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

While Madera South was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-15, 25-16.

Isabella Zaragosa paced Madera South's offense, picking up eight kills. Zaragosa got some help from Liyah Chavira and her 23 assists. Finally, Melanie Fuentes kept Madera South's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Madera South's defeat dropped their record down to 8-24. As for McLane, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-19.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Madera South will take on rival Fresno at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, McLane is set to challenge their familiar foe Torres at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
