Northland Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Andon "AJ" Newton, who scored 20 points along with six assists and five rebounds. That was a full 33.9% of Northland Christian's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Maddox Pallanez was another key contributor, scoring 24 points.
Northland Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. As for Alpha Omega Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.
Northland Christian will be playing at home against Faith West Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Alpha Omega Academy, they will head out on the road to take on St. Francis Episcopal at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
