Weeki Wachee has gone 8-2 against Tarpon Springs recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. Having just played yesterday, the Hornets will head out on the road to face off against the Spongers at 7:45 p.m. Tarpon Springs took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Weeki Wachee, who comes in off a win.

Weeki Wachee is headed out to face Tarpon Springs after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. The Hornets enjoyed a cozy 75-56 victory over Citrus on Tuesday. The Hornets pushed the score to 58-37 by the end of the third, a deficit the Hurricanes cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, Tarpon Springs had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a hard 56-42 fall against Bishop McLaughlin Catholic. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 17 in a row.

Despite the defeat, Tarpon Springs saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Mario Green shot 62% from the field en route to 17 points in addition to eight rebounds and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Memphis Smith, who posted 12 points and five steals.
