Volleyball Recap: Instituto Health Sciences Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Instituto Health Sciences had already won three in a row dating back to last season and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Intrinsic Mustangs. The Phoenix were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Mustangs, so the Phoenix were just returning the favor.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Instituto Health Sciences was: they took both sets by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-15.

Their offense was headlined by Oscar Flores and Jeremiah Wilson, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Luis Barrera and his three assists. Flores and Wilson were also some pesky defenders, as each blocked five attacks.

Instituto Health Sciences' victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. As for Intrinsic, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-2.
