Softball Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Veterans Memorial

Veterans Memorial made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Los Fresnos, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Veterans Memorial never let Los Fresnos get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Tuesday. This was payback for the Chargers, who suffered a 15-5 loss the last time these two teams met.

Arianna Garcia made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time she hasn't allowed a single hit since back in February. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Veterans Memorial got a massive performance out of Miranda Lerma, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2. Lerma also put up two doubles, which were her first of the season. Itzel Rodriguez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two triples, two RBI, and one run.
