The Havelock Rams will face off against the Dixon Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Havelock took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They claimed a resounding 48-14 victory over West Carteret. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Jayden Howard had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 218 yards and four TDs while picking up 10.4 yards per carry. Those four rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.
Havelock didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited West Carteret to a completion percentage of just 41.7%. The team can thank Michael Gatling for the heroic effort on defense: he. Havelock hasn't an opponent to post a completion percentage of 0.53 or higher in four consecutive contests.
Havelock didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Khimani Nolan, Andrew WIlliams, and Jacob Vasquez picked up one apiece. Nolan got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Dixon strolled past Swansboro with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 46-30.
Havelock better keep an eye on JJ Gulat. He was instrumental in Dixon's win, rushing for 343 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per carry. Gulat's rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 12th straight game with at least 103 rushing yards dating back to last season. Sean Delaney was another key player, rushing for 90 yards and one score on only nine carries.
Havelock picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-5. As for Dixon, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Havelock has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 172.6 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Dixon struggles in that department as they've been averaging 506.2 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Havelock against Dixon when the teams last played back in November of 2023, as the squad secured a 62-0 victory. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
