Baseball Recap: Highland Takes a Loss

Highland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Brighton Bengals, falling 12-2. The Rams were not able to make up for their loss to the Bengals from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Porter Rockwood made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases. Isaac Rodriguez also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Highland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Brighton, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

While Highland had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
