Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North Central). They came out on top against the Central Valley Cougars by a score of 54-41 on Tuesday.

Mya Lewis continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 14 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted nine or more boards the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Bridget Lewis, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 13 points in addition to seven boards and four steals.

North Central was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lauryn Dusatko, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Bentleigh Dugan, who posted 12 points.

North Central's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Central Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

North Central will square off against West Holt at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. As for Central Valley, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 52-30 loss against Burwell on the 9th.
