Basketball Recap: Bishop Watterson Takes a Loss

It was a Battle of the Birds when Bishop Watterson faced off against Big Walnut on Saturday. The Bishop Watterson Eagles took a 52-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Big Walnut Golden Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 127th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 35th).

This is the second loss in a row for Bishop Watterson and nudges their season record down to 12-9. As for Big Walnut, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

Looking ahead, Bishop Watterson will take on Hilliard Bradley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Big Walnut, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 55-40 victory against Dublin Scioto on the 10th.
