Preview: Wilson vs. Royalton-Hartland
After two weeks on the road, Wilson is heading back home. On Friday they take on Royalton-Hartland at 7:00 PM. The match looks good for Wilson since they are the big favorites in the MaxPreps state rankings.
Wilson might be getting used to good results now that the squad have four wins in a row. They took their matchup against Newfane last Saturday 23-15. Senior Steve Frerichs, who picked up 65 yards on the ground and accumulated 153 passing yards, was a major factor in Wilson's success. Frerichs has now scored at least one touchdown in the past six games.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Royalton-Hartland, and their match last Friday only extended their streak of losses to six. They lost to Kennedy by a decisive 30-46 margin. Royalton-Hartland were down by 6-46 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Wilson's win lifted them to 5-1 while Royalton-Hartland's defeat dropped them down to 0-6. We'll see if Wilson's success rolls on or if Royalton-Hartland are able to steal their positive momentum.
