            Jackson and Mount Vernon are an even 5-5 against one another  since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Jackson Timberwolves will take on the Mount Vernon Bulldogs at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Jackson will be strutting in after a  win while Mount Vernon will be coming in after a  loss.
Jackson barely beat Mountlake Terrace the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Jackson was the clear victors by  a  10-0 margin over Mountlake Terrace on Monday. The  victory was just business as usual for the Timberwolves, who after three games remain undefeated  this season.

 Quinten Johns was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. The dominant performance gave  him a new career-high in  strikeouts. He was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with two  RBI and one  double.
 In other batting news,  Gavin Clark was a standout: he scored two  runs while going 3-for-4. What's more,  he posted two  RBI, the most he's  had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Austin Halvorson, who  went 1-for-2 with one  triple and two  RBI.
 Jackson was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .448. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mountlake Terrace only posted a  batting average of  .143.
 Meanwhile, Mount Vernon fell victim to Anacortes and their airtight pitching crew  on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Seahawks by a score of  1-0.
 Mount Vernon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Jackson, their record is now 3-0.
 Jackson couldn't quite finish off Mount Vernon in their previous matchup  back in March of 2024 and fell  2-0. Can Jackson avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
