After flying high against Pioneer last Monday, Christopher came back down to earth. The Cougars took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Prospect Panthers on Wednesday. The Cougars' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Chevelle Quistian was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Brianna Diaz Cruz, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles.

Christopher's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Prospect, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-4.

Coming up, Christopher will face off against Gilroy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Prospect, they will square off against Lincoln at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 10 runs per game this season.
