Recap: Comer vs. Rauner

Comer had enough points to win and then some against Rauner on Saturday, taking their match 26-6. The success made it back-to-back wins for Comer.

Comer's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 18 points in the first half. Meanwhile, Rauner couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 18-0 heading into the break. The other side of the ball continued to do well for Comer in the second half and held Rauner to 6 points.

Sophomore Tevin Lewis-johnson, who rushed for 68 yards and 2 touchdowns, was a major factor in Comer's success. Senior Anthony Strickland was in the mix, too, providing Comer with 2 touchdowns. The win bumped their record up to 3-1. The loss dropped Rauner back to even at 2-2.

Next week Comer take on Hansberry at Stagg Field at 9:00 PM. As for Rauner, they will face off against Johnson.
