Basketball Recap: Corin Davis and Kaydin Davis Secure Win for Eldon

Eldon hadn't done well against Fatima recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Mustangs managed a 52-46 win over the Comets. The Mustangs' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Leading Eldon to victory were Kaydin Davis and Corin Davis. Kaydin shot 53% from the field en route to 22 points along with eight boards and five steals, while Corin almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds. Corin's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. Briley Dial was another key player, putting up six points.

Eldon smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in five consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Eldon's record now sits at 3-0. As for Fatima, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Looking ahead, Eldon is taking a road trip to challenge Lebanon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fatima, they will head out to face off against Owensville at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday.
