Basketball Game Preview: St. Joseph's Catholic Knights vs. Chapman Panthers

The St. Joseph's Catholic Knights will square off against the Chapman Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

St. Joseph's Catholic is headed into the match having just posted their biggest win since December 13, 2024 on Tuesday. They blew past Crescent 52-31. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, Chapman hadn't done well against Broome recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Chapman took down Broome 66-49. The Panthers pushed the score to 51-31 by the end of the third, a deficit the Centurions cut but never quite recovered from.

St. Joseph's Catholic's win bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Chapman, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-18.

St. Joseph's Catholic didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Chapman when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 41-36 win.
