Volleyball Recap: Oswego Indians vs. Yates Center Wildcats
Oswego was the 2-1 winner over Yates Center when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Indians fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday.
In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Oswego sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 17-25, 25-20.
Autumn Neblett paced Oswego's offense, picking up 15 kills. Neblett got some help from Kodi Trimble and her 20 assists. Jaycee Schulz controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.
Yates Center found their leader in sophomore Makenzi Morrison, who had seven digs and two aces.
Oswego's loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Yates Center, their win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 17-10.
Coincidentally, Oswego and Yates Center will both be playing St. Paul the next time they take the court. The Indians will head out to face the Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Wildcats will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
