Softball Recap: Garland Takes a Loss

Garland has relied on a stalwart pitcher averaging 3.85 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They came up short against the Wylie Pirates, falling 11-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Owls have suffered since March 14th.

Garland saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cecilia Perry, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

The loss snapped Garland's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-6-1 record. As for Wylie, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, Garland and Wylie will both be playing Lakeview Centennial the next time they take the field. The Owls will host the Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Pirates will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on the 16th.
