Baseball Game Preview: Ashland Hornets vs. Southern Aroostook Warriors

Ashland hasn't had much luck against Southern Aroostook recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Hornets will challenge the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Ashland is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Monday. They lost 14-4 to Washburn.

Meanwhile, Southern Aroostook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Katahdin, falling 20-9.

Connor Lilley made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. He has become a key player for Southern Aroostook: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-6 otherwise. Brayden Peters also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Southern Aroostook's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Ashland, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
