Volleyball Game Preview: Batesburg-Leesville Panthers vs. Saluda Tigers

The Batesburg-Leesville Panthers will face off against the Saluda Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Batesburg-Leesville will be strutting in after a victory while Saluda will be coming in after a loss.

Batesburg-Leesville got their first taste of in-conference action on Thursday and they started things off strong. Everything went their way against Pelion as they made off with a 3-0 win. That three set margin sets a new team best for Batesburg-Leesville this season.

While Batesburg-Leesville might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Pelion scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-23, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Saluda was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to Strom Thurmond.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-17, 25-10.

Saluda's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Batesburg-Leesville, their victory ended a five-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 12-17-1.

Batesburg-Leesville took their win against Saluda when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
