Soccer Game Preview: Legacy vs. Somerset Sky Pointe

The Legacy Longhorns will square off against the Somerset Sky Pointe Eagles at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. Somerset Sky Pointe took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Legacy, who comes in off a win.

Somerset Sky Pointe better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Legacy's game on Tuesday is any indication, that's when Legacy really gets things going. The Longhorns' defense stepped up to hand Cheyenne a 3-0 shutout.

Legacy hit the Desert Shields with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Leland Woods, Brock Robbins, and Maximus Quesada.

Meanwhile, Somerset Sky Pointe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Centennial, falling 8-3. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Somerset Sky Pointe were already down 6-1.

Somerset Sky Pointe's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14-2. As for Legacy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5-1.

Legacy took their win against Somerset Sky Pointe in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 8-0 score. Do the Longhorns have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
